What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

In 2015, I founded SNP Cake Studio, a boutique bakery known for its exquisite buttercream-decorated cakes, rooted in a family legacy spanning over 50 years in food and beverage. Building on this foundation, SNP Cake Atelier was established in early 2024 to focus exclusively on bespoke wedding and special occasion cakes. The journey of SNP Cake Atelier began with my own wedding celebration, where we crafted a grand blueberry cheese pie for the engagement ceremony, followed by a showcase of 30 individually designed buttercream cakes. From that moment, our wedding cake project gained momentum, leading to the creation of SNP Cake Atelier.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

We see our designs as timeless and refined, and, more importantly, as a reflection of each couple’s unique story and personality. We try to balance classic aesthetics with subtle modern touches and techniques, creating cakes that feel personal but still stand out. Whether it’s delicate florals, clean lines, or bold colors, every cake is carefully made to match the mood and style of the celebration. Our goal is to create something that feels truly personal and timeless, something the couple will look back on as a special part of their day.

What are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

Lately, I’ve been really excited by the growing use of bold colors in weddings. More couples are choosing vibrant palettes as the main theme for their entire event, not just as accents, and it feels refreshing and inspiring. What’s especially exciting is how this trend is moving beyond decorations, now we’re seeing more wedding cakes that move away from the classic white, with rich, bold colors that make a stunning statement. I believe this aesthetic will continue to grow, and it’s very exciting to create cakes that reflect this fun and elegant approach.

A planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

Don’t be afraid to say no and speak up for what you really want. It’s your special day, so focus on what feels right for you as a couple. You don’t have to follow every tradition or please everyone, making it meaningful to you as a couple, is what matters most.

Do your research and gather inspiration freely. Save as many photos and ideas as you like along the way. Don’t feel pressured to decide right away, take your time. When you’re ready, filter them down to what truly speaks to you. This helps you discover your style without feeling overwhelmed.

Tell us about your ordering process and what couples should know beforehand.

At SNP Cake Atelier, every creation starts with a conversation. We take the time to understand each couple: their story, style, and what matters most to them. We encourage couples to share mood boards, color palettes, inspirations, special moments, favorite desserts, or even their most adventurous ideas. If couples aren’t quite sure what they want yet, we guide them through the process to develop ideas together. From design to flavour, we work closely to create a cake tailored specifically for their special day. Our goal is to make a cake that feels personal and becomes a meaningful part of the celebration.
