In a world of fleeting moments, Tim Damas curates timeless emotions. As a visual curator on Instagram, he offers more than a collection of photography, it’s an invitation to step into the world’s most intimate and breathtaking corners. From a windswept coastal path bathed in golden light to a quiet, sun-drenched courtyard in Sicily, each photograph feels like a fragment of a larger, universal story. Damas is not merely a curator; he is a storyteller, weaving together threads of travel, architecture, and human connection into an experience that lingers long after the image fades.
“I’m not a photographer myself, but I’ve always been fascinated by the way photography captures the ephemeral essence of a place,” he explains. Growing up in Damascus, one of the oldest cities in the world, for the first six years of his life instilled in him a profound appreciation for authenticity, history, and beauty – values that continue to shape his work. With a background in architectural heritage and a deep love of travel, Damas curates works that celebrate light, texture, and emotion. “Travel allows us to see the world from fresh viewpoints, and photography holds onto those perspectives in a way that feels timeless and resonant,” he says.
What he loves most about his work is the connection it fosters. “A truly remarkable photograph has the power to transport you – to make you pause, forget the present, and immerse yourself in its story.”

Rione Sanità, Naples
“The Ordinary Extraordinary’ by Pasquale Monda depicts a stairwell adorned with fading frescoes and Renaissance architecture. In the foreground, a simple clothes rack with freshly laundered clothes introduces an intriguing layer of contrast. This juxtaposition of grandeur from a bygone era and the humbleness of everyday life encapsulates the timeless essence of Naples. There’s a palpable sense of history, yet the city feels eternal – steadfast in its identity as the centuries pass. It’s a place I could return to again and again, always one of my favorites to visit.”
Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris
“Once Upon a Library’ by Elie Obeid takes us to the quieter corners of Paris, capturing a simple yet quintessentially Parisian scene: an elderly man standing in front of his bookshop. This modest motif beautifully reflects Paris’ charm beyond the Eiffel Tower, celebrating the city’s countless hidden treasures. It’s a heartfelt tribute to the small, unexpected moments that make Paris so unique—its people, places, and stories waiting to be discovered.”
